Kickboxing is a contact martial art combining karate leg techniques with boxing punches. The sport demands good physical fitness, speed, strength and tactical thinking.
At SK BUDO kickboxing has been part of the training programme since the club was founded in 1984. Yuri Lakhtikov, one of the club's founders, is an international WAKO A-category referee and Chair of the European Kickboxing Referee Commission.
Training includes basic technique, bag work, partner drills and full-contact sparring. Kickboxing is ideal both for general fitness and for serious competitive development.
