Athletes from BUDO club participated in the EKF summer camp 2026

From August 16 to 19, 2026, athletes from the BUDO club took part in the traditional summer training camp of the Estonian Karate Federation, held at the sports base Kääriku.

This year, the camp brought together about 80 athletes, coaches, and referees from 18 clubs across Estonia, representing sport, classical, and kyokushin karate. The main goal of the camp was to prepare candidates for the Estonian national team for upcoming international competitions, including the World Championship and the final qualifying tournament.

The camp program included intensive training sessions, morning physical preparation outdoors, control sparring matches, and testing of the general physical fitness of the national team candidates. Training was conducted under the guidance of the national team's head coach Aleksandr Zõkov and coach Lauri Mengel, with participants training in groups formed according to age, experience, and athletic level.

Four full days provided an excellent opportunity to improve skills, enhance physical condition, gain new experience, and thoroughly prepare for the upcoming competitive season.

We thank the Estonian Karate Federation, organizers, and coaches for the high level of camp organization, professional work, valuable trainings, and great atmosphere! We wish our athletes to successfully apply the knowledge gained, continue confidently moving forward, and achieve new victories! Oss! 🥋
