Karate1 Youth League — Cancún 2024
From August 8 to 11, 2024, the Karate1 Youth League stage of the youth world series took place in Cancún, Mexico.
Estonia and SK BUDO were represented by Mihkel Mets in the U21 −84 kg category. In his first bout, he defeated a competitor from Chile 15:14 following the opponent's disqualification in the final seconds. In the second fight, Mihkel lost to a Colombian athlete 3:5. The Colombian athlete advanced to the final, opening a path for Mihkel to the repechage round.
In the bronze medal match, Mihkel confidently defeated a Mexican athlete 4:0.
