Nordic Karate Championships 2026
Athletes of the Budo club participated in the Nordic Karate Championships
On April 10–11, 2026, the Nordic Karate Championships were held in Tartu. Athletes from the Budo club competed at the Nordic competition as part of the Estonian national team.
The championship featured athletes from eight countries: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and Norway. Each country could field two athletes in each category. Competitions took place in age groups U16, U18, and among adults — a total of 43 categories. Categories for people with disabilities were also provided. A live broadcast of the competitions was organized for spectators.
Our athletes proudly represented the country and club, demonstrating strong performances, character, and a high level of preparation on the tatami. Participation in competitions of this level is a great experience, a serious responsibility, and an important step in the sporting development of each karateka.
It is especially pleasing to note the excellent results of the Budo club athletes, who won prize places and demonstrated confident fighting in their categories.
