WKF Karate World Championship 2023

From October 24 to 29, 2023, the 26th WKF Karate World Championship for adults took place in Budapest, Hungary. The competition featured 1051 athletes from 103 countries. Each weight category was represented by one athlete per country.

The Estonian team consisted of three athletes, one of whom represented SK BUDO. The head coach of the team was Alexander Zykov.

Ragnar Audse, SK Impact — M −75 kg: lost to an athlete from Peru with a score of 1:2
Tan-Markus Ojala, SK Impact — M −67 kg: lost to an athlete from Armenia with a score of 0:8
Mihkel Mets, SK BUDO — M −84 kg: lost to an athlete from Colombia with a score of 1:2

The World Championship provided the athletes with important experience competing at the highest level. We wish the Estonian team health and continued success!
